The Blackhawks officially kicked off coach Dan Armstrong's 16th season on Aug. 18 when the team took to the field at La Quinta High School to begin practice. The defending DVL champions will be led by left tackle Eric Jepsen, running backs Chyl Robinson and Desmond Dukes, wide receiver Adam Judnich and quarterback Dylan Costello, among others. Dukes, Sean Lorenger and Nuuvali Faapito will take charge of the defense. The team opens its season Sept. 10 at Valley Center.
