Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Ben Lippen put on a show for a big crowd in its home opener, dominating Pinewood in a 42-7 victory.

The Falcons controlled the SCISA matchup from the beginning. Already leading 8-0 in the first quarter, the Falcons got an interception from Cory Jackson-Patrick to stop a Pinewood drive.
Later in the first quarter, quarterback Austin Irish struck to extend the lead, launching a pretty pass to Taylor Wilson, who caught it in stride and sprinted away from Pinewood defenders and into the end zone. The point after made it 15-0, and the Falcons kept the pressure on from there, cruising to the 42-7 final.
Ben Lippen is now 2-0 on the season, having outscored its opponents 83-20. With wins over Heathwood and now Pinewood in hand, the Falcons travel across the Georgia border next week to take on Augusta Christian.
